There once was a group of friends...

There once was a group of friends
who were close like family.
They laughed and played together.
They got along happily.
There were about 5 of them.
Each to their own design.
They were always there for eachother.
They thought everything was fine.
One day, one friend left a note
so sad, and without warning.
She left the little group.
That was not a good morning.
Now there were 4 friends,
sad for the loss of one.
They tried to push past it,
and continue having fun.
Then a shocking thing happened.
one friend just up and left.
He was tired of the internet
committing acts of theft.
Now there were only 3 friends,
Starting to feel uneasy.
Their anxiety was so high,
one friend even got queasy.
Another day arrived,
and another friend did go.
Being here was too stressful.
It made him feel too low.
2 friends were remaining.
One begged for the other to stay.
But the friend waved her goodbyes.
And then she went away.
One friend is all that's left.
And though he's made new friends.
He's afraid they'll all leave him,
and his heart will break again.
